Purpose Of the Role:

To coordinate and support collection and procurement activities, ensuring goods are collected efficiently and in line with operational requirements. This includes liaising with internal teams, suppliers, and transport partners, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring smooth and timely execution to meet business and customer needs.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate closely with local collection partners and transport teams to ensure smooth and timely collections
  • Provide proactive updates and maintain regular communication with customers regarding their shipments
  • Arrange and support special deliveries and charter requests where required
  • Process and monitor collections using internal systems and reports, including Active Reports, unloading reports, hall records, residual item lists, and management reports
  • Handle customer queries and complaints professionally, ensuring timely resolution
  • Monitor and support KPI performance, ensuring operational targets and service standards are met

The ideal candidate will have

  • Previous experience in transport, logistics, freight forwarding, or a customer service–focused role would be highly desirable
  • Strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate confidently and professionally with both customers and internal teams
  • Experience using CRM systems and confidence working with Microsoft Excel, including updating records, tracking data, and producing basic reports
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy across systems and documentation
  • Proactive and solution-focused, with the ability to resolve issues and take ownership of tasks
  • A team player with a positive attitude and willingness to support colleagues and wider operational goals
