Tasks
- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary engineering team, including Software Engineers, Requirements Engineers, Software Architects and UX Designers
- Oversee the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements to deployment
- Develop and implement best practices and standards for high-quality software solutions
- Provide technical direction and support for successful project delivery
- Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to achieve business goals
- Ensure all software solutions meet the highest standards of quality, performance and security
- Manage team resources effectively including hiring, training and performance management
- Identify and mitigate risks in the development process to ensure timely delivery
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all technical matters and report to senior management
Qualifications
- Degree in IT, Computer Science or a related field; advanced degrees or relevant certifications are a plus
- Proven experience in a leadership role within a software engineering environment
- Deep knowledge of software development methodologies and practices; proficiency in Java, Angular, Spring, Docker, OpenShift, Jenkins, Git and SQL
- Strategic thinking and the ability to align technical solutions with business goals
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with the logistics or supply chain industry is advantageous
- Good knowledge of English
