Purpose Of the Role:
The Recruitment Specialist will support the delivery of end-to-end recruitment activities across DACHSER UK, assisting with hiring needs and helping to attract, engage, and onboard high-quality talent. Working closely with the UK Recruitment Specialist, the role will support vacancy management, candidate sourcing, advertising opportunities, screening applicants, coordinating interviews, maintaining recruitment systems and pre-employment checks.
The Recruitment Specialist will ensure Dachser UK strives to attract, onboard and retain exceptional talent by delivering excellent end to end candidate experience. The role will act as an ambassador for the DACHSER brand, promoting and upholding the company's values through every interaction with candidates, hiring managers, and external partners, ensuring a professional, respectful, and people-focused recruitment process.
Key Responsibilities
- Support hiring managers throughout the recruitment process, ensuring vacancy requirements and hiring priorities are clearly understood.
- Advertise vacancies across relevant job boards, social media platforms, and the DACHSER careers site to attract suitable candidates.
- Source, screen, and shortlist candidates in line with role requirements and business needs.
- Conduct telephone screening interviews and provide support throughout the wider interview process.
- Coordinate interviews, confirm arrangements, and maintain clear communication with candidates and hiring managers.
- Manage the employee referral programme, ensuring referrals are tracked accurately throughout the recruitment process.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records within the ATS and recruitment trackers.
- Support offer management, pre-employment checks, and onboarding activities for successful candidates.
- Deliver a positive, professional, and consistent candidate experience throughout the recruitment journey.
- Ensure all recruitment activity is carried out in line with company policies, GDPR requirements, and relevant employment legislation.
The ideal candidate will have
- Previous experience supporting recruitment activities within an in-house or agency recruitment environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to build effective relationships with candidates, hiring managers, and external partners.
- Highly organised, with the ability to prioritise a varied workload and manage multiple tasks to competing deadlines.
- Proactive and self-motivated, able to work independently while also contributing positively as part of a wider HR and Recruitment team.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Customer-focused, with a passion for delivering a positive candidate and hiring manager experience.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and adapting to changing business priorities.
- Competent in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
- Strong administrative and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify improvements and support recruitment best practice.
- Enthusiastic about promoting the DACHSER brand and representing the business at recruitment, careers, and networking events.
- Eager to learn and develop within a recruitment career, demonstrating a positive attitude and willingness to take on new challenges.
- Demonstrates professionalism and integrity, with the ability to handle sensitive information appropriately and in line with data protection requirements.
