Contract: Full time permanent
Hours: 09:00-18:00
Location: Little Island Cork

Job description
An excellent opportunity has opened up at our Cork Depot for a Logistics Operative. The successful applicant will be responsible for scanning and offloading inbound and outbound freight, house-keeping and general transit terminal activity. We invite applicants to apply who have the relevant experience, skill set and enthusiasm to take on this challenging role.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Hall pick-up
- Loading and unloading of goods
- Handling of various forklift trucks and Scanner
- Checking of goods consignments for damage / transport prohibitions / hazardous goods labeling / dimensions / packaging
- Scanning and moving goods
- Load securing / load distribution / product-appropriate loading
- Documentation of interfaces
- General housekeeping within the department.
- Support the goals and targets set out by your Manager.
- Compliance with legal requirements and safety regulations (handling of hazardous goods, health and safety at work, load securing, fire protection, etc.)
Requirements:
- Valid forklift licence is essential
- Previous experience as a forklift operator is essential
- Excellent written and spoken English skills essential
- Logistics / Transport Background desirable
- Strong Communication skills required
