Role: HGV Driver
Contract: Permanent Full time
Hours: 17:30-02:00 Monday to Friday
Location: Courtstown Industrial Estate Cork

Purpose Of The Role:

The person will be responsible for handling freight in a safe, efficient manner in accordance with the Drivers Handbook, Company Quality Procedures and Statutory requirements, in the most cost effective way servicing Main Carriage duties between the Dachser Ireland sites. As a representative of the Company the successful applicant will be required to act in a professional manner at all times, ensuring our customers receive excellent service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that schedules are adhered to and delivery times are met.
  • Accurate completion of all  required paperwork and company hand held devices.
  • Ensuring compliance with all Health and Safety, Road Safety, Quality and ADR requirements.
  • Maintain a safe environment, report any health & safety incidents or concerns immediately.
  • Maintain ADR training and all other relevant certification.
  • Perform all other duties deemed appropriate, necessary, required, or directed by management

 

Skills & Experience:

 
Current ADR licence
HGV Class 1 Licence
Current Digital driving card & driver qualification card
Communicate effectively in English written and verbal
Attention to detail
Problem solver
2 years experience in a similar role
