Purpose of the role
Assist the Accountant/Accounts Payable Team Leader in the centralised Accounts Payable function and ad-hoc projects. Ensure the accurate and efficient processing of invoices and credits. Build and maintain strong working relationships with both internal teams and external suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and issue accurate invoices for freight services provided, ensuring all details are correct and in line with service agreements.
- Review and process incoming invoices and credit notes from suppliers, verifying accuracy, ensuring compliance with company policies, and resolving any discrepancies.
- Respond to and resolve any inquiries or disputes related to customer and supplier invoices, ensuring timely and effective communication to maintain strong relationships.
- Efficiently manage incoming mail, sorting and distributing it to the appropriate teams or departments in a timely manner.
- Effectively manage and prioritise tasks, ensuring all invoicing, processing, and queries are handled within required timeframes to meet business deadlines
- Answer and redirect incoming phone calls, ensuring prompt and professional responses, and providing assistance or transferring to the relevant departments when necessary.
