Tasks

  • Administration of Import, Export and UK shipments using the Dachser IT systems.
  • Maintain quality standards and excellent customer service
  • To produce identified Key Performance Indicators for the Outbound customer service activity
  • To liaise with other departments in Northampton and the UK as well as other branches in the network ensuring good working relations
  • To produce and administer quality and production control reports
  • Facilitating final checks of customs shipments on internal customs systems
  • To communicate and co-ordinate with internal departments to ensure that the agreed service levels are met
  • To proactively inform the customer of any issues or deviations to the shipment process via our event management system and other communication channels
  • To record accurately all actions taken so that they can be reviewed and analysed
  • Providing supporting documentation to clients on request 

Qualifications

  •  Proven track record in delivering excellent customer service, with strong communication skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to resolve queries efficiently while maintaining positive relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Basic knowledge of customs processes and regulations (desirable), including an understanding of import/export procedures and relevant documentation requirements. Eager to build on this foundation to ensure compliance and support efficient logistics operations.
  • Highly organised with strong time management skills, capable of handling multiple tasks, prioritising effectively, and maintaining accuracy and attention to detail in a busy working environment.
  • IT literate, with confident use of Microsoft Office applications (including Excel, Word, and Outlook) and the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software systems and digital tools.
