Tasks
- Ensure and implement the standardization of processes across the country/branch, ensuring compliance with global and regional standards, i.e. contribute an essential part to the development of an operational blueprint
- Validate, monitor, and enforce the correct usage of defined global standards, processes, and network rules in branches/country by using key process figures – particularly in relation to the use of the ASL core IT applications
- Develop and implement best-practice solutions and centralized processes to increase efficiency and quality
- Optimize EBIT conversion through reduced unit costs, cycle times, operational expenditures (OpEx)
- Evaluate and monitor countries’ performance within the region, focusing on areas such as process improvement and compliance
- Review, prioritize and monitor IT and process-related demands at the country level with regional view to align with business objectives
- Organize and coordinate with relevant SMEs and local BPMs to implement core ASL IT application trainings, and develop training programs if required, to ensure that employees are proficient in DACHSER processes and tools to foster process improvement
- Provide functional leadership and support to Operations & Power Users in managing process improvements, IT integration, and operational initiatives.
- Manage and coordinate country-specific Business Process Management (BPM) projects while actively contributing to global and Business Unit (BU) initiatives to ensure that regional process optimizations align with overarching global BPM strategies
- Support and capture regional IT & process requirement and develop dedicated business cases
- Work closely with local BPM and other country's stakeholders to ensure that system improvements and technological solutions are implemented effectively and meet operational needs
- Develop and maintain structured regional / country specific process & SOP knowledge platform(s) and communication channel(s), proactively advocate their communication to ensure compliance, quality and efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- At least 3-5 years of business process management or operational support experience within the logistics or freight forwarding industry
- Proven experience in business process management, operational excellence, or project management within the logistics or air / ocean freight industry.
- Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements, reduce costs, and enhance operational efficiency.
- Experience in managing IT and process-related projects within a business unit.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on driving cost reductions and operational efficiency.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, regional stakeholders, and global counterparts.
- Proficiency in process management methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) and a track record of implementing process improvements.
- Experience in managing change and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within a complex, global organization.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-regional initiatives and deliver results.
