Tasks

  • Receive, offload, and check incoming cargo against manifests, invoices, and packing lists.

  • Prepare cargo for dispatch, including picking, packing, labeling, and palletizing.

  • Conduct physical cargo checks and report discrepancies, damages, or shortages.

  • Capture warehouse movements and updates on internal systems.

  • Assist with export and import cargo handling, including consolidation and deconsolidation.

  • Ensure correct storage of cargo according to weight, size, and handling requirements.

  • Operate warehouse equipment (pallet jacks, forklifts—if licensed).

  • Maintain warehouse cleanliness, safety, and compliance with SOPs.

  • Support customs inspections, security checks, and regulatory processes.

  • Coordinate with operations, transport, and customer service teams for smooth cargo flow.

  • Assist with stock counts, cycle counts, and inventory accuracy.

  • Follow all health, safety, and security protocols, including PPE requirements.

  • Operational warehousing activities in the high-bay warehouse

Qualifications

  • Matric / Grade 12 (essential).

  • Valid forklift license (advantageous but not always required).

  • Basic computer literacy (advantageous).

  • Knowledge of warehouse processes or freight & forwarding (advantageous).
